How do you describe your music?

I would say my music has a "New World Edge". By that I mean I love to blend various elements of the different genres of music that the world offers and try to create a unique blend or feel that grabs me and hopefully others.

What is your song writing process?

I am a melody freak. I always start with a melody and then try to find the chord structure and feel that I think will give the melody life.

What do you tell new artists who ask you how to break into the music industry?

I tell new artists to try and learn their craft and try to be versatile and play with anyone who is willing to play with you. There is nothing like jamming.

Do you have a favorite new artist or CD release you can’t stop listening to?

There is a South African guitarist by the name of Jimmy DluDlu who I think is quite amazing. I would love to see him blow up here in the USA and internationally.

What do you do in your free time with your music? Play in your community? Teach?

I was teaching for awhile but now only look for students who really have the passion for the instument. Now I enjoy checking out new talent and helping them to be heard.

Is there a certain place or location you find inspirational?

I love traveling. Seeing beautiful locations and meeting diverse cultures is a great source for inspiration.
