WILL WHEATON

Which aspect of creating and recording a new album do you find to be the most challenging?
Getting all of the musicians coordinated and in the same place at the same time... without a doubt that's the hardest part... for me at least. Writing is easy. Singing is usually easy. Getting everybody there at the same time, not easy!
What vocalists do you consider to be your biggest idols and influences?
I was always a fan of Luther because of his vocal ability and the fact that he wrote for other artist as well. Barry White was always incredible to me because his voice was similar and I'd always been told I needed a higher voice to be successful. Teddy Pendergrass was incredible to me because of how the women reacted to him.
How do you see your music complementing the Smooth Jazz genre?
My music fits the vibe... Smooth Jazz to me is a very moody, sensual format with a lot of very cool artists. Hopefully I fit that profile as well. There is a wide variety of feelings and moods which blend perfectly together.
You're donating 10% of sales on your website to the "Wonderful World Corporation." What is that, and what do they do?
Wonderful World is a 501 (c)3 non profit that was formed by me. We help to house homeless, those at risk of being homeless, and first time home buyers looking for purchase assitance. The non profit is in the final foration stages but will soon be completely up and functioning. However, there are several families that we have helped and are helping currently.
What do you find to be the best way to wind down after a performance?
It depends on my feeling about the show... If I felt good then I'm hanging out with friends and or my band and we're gonna raise the roof at a local restaurant. If I didn't feel the performance then I'm going home to sleep it off... LOL
Finish this sentence: "When I'm in the kitchen, I make a mean..."
Spaghetti... It'll make you weep it's so good! At least I think it's good... :-)
