How did your new project, "Don't Worry, Be Funky" and your approach to
it come about?
I had been doing projects for myself and other artists that featured me doing all the production with one or two other artists featured per track. That's cool but the music would change and grow into something different on the gig and i wanted to capture that.
What aspect or aspects of your new album do you find the most
satisfying to you personally?
I feel like we really achieved the goal of recording the way we sound.Plus, we had fun doing it.
At what point in your childhood did you start aspiring to be a
performer?
I'm the youngest of four brothers that are musicians so I knew at an early age (6-7) that i wanted to do that. Just not sure which instrument. So I played all my brother's instruments.
Who’s been your biggest musical inspiration so far?
So many Stevie wonder, EWF, George Duke, Miles,Monk MJ . plus i've been blessed to learn from some of the greatest on the job training with Bernard Wright, Lucky Peterson, James Ingram Yarborough & Peoples and more.
