How long have you been playing jazz guitar?

I've been playing Jazz off and on in my 30 yrs as a "working musician" From Big Bands to small combo's. I love the magic of great musicians at work!

Who are some of your biggest musical inspirations?

Wes Mongomery, George Benson, Pat Martino, Grant Green, Kenny Burrell, Joe Pass, David Sanborn, Ramsey Lewis, Nancy Wilson, Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau, Kirk Whalum, Paul Jackson Jr.

Is there a song that you wish you would have written?

There are so many, but I have always loved "Nature Boy;" both the George Benson and the Nat Cole version. "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is to love and be loved in return" Has there ever been a better lyric?

Do you play often in your community?

I play every week !!! Restaurants, Jazz clubs, Concerts, Private Parties, Sessions, and Church. I update my website every month.

Who are some of your favorite new artists?

There's a lot!! Eric Darius, Mindi Abair, Norah Jones, Chuck Loeb, Richard Smith, Chris Standring , Ronny Jordan, Eric Marienthal, Michael Paulo, Paul Brown and Chieli Minucci.

What's your favorite get-away location?

I actually do spend many of my days off in Santa Monica. I was raised in Tulsa Oklahoma and after all these years I still can't get over the beauty, serenity, and power of the ocean. Visiting friends, walking the pier, the promanade, Hangin at Hal's for great Jazz. My out of town fun is usually Palm Springs.
